VIDEOSTUDIO WIPE PATTERNS v3.0
Note: Delete this file 'vs2:manual/wipe' to increase disc space
BLANKET WIPES
This program may be used in conjunction with a genlock (that
must support foreground keying) to create blanket wipes over live
or recorded video. In this case the program key colour is set to
suit the genlock, usually alternate blue levels (Rendale) such as
R=0 G=0 B=5
The colour of the wipe may be set to anything you wish, not including
the key colours of course.
MULTIPLE PASS METHOD
The recorded video may, if you wish include computer overlays
created using the other programs, this would be termed a 'two-pass'
method, to create multiple program functions. (e.g. blanket wipe
over video, then titles). Alternatively this may be performed
'at the edit'.
DAISY CHAIN
If a second computer is available, more than one program may be
overlaid over the output of another, without 'going down a generation',
by daisy-chaining genlocks.
PICTURE TO PICTURE WIPES
If a mixer with provision for external keying (a.k.a. caption camera
input) is available, then the computer may be genlocked to the local
sync source, the output of the genlock ignored, and the MONO VIDEO
output of the AMIGA passed to the key input. (set key colour to white,
and base colour to black).
PANASONIC MX12
Using EXT KEY (see above) the outine is operative to add colour
edges to the wipes if required.
Pic-Pic wipes require adaptor keying video switcher box (see below).
Pic-Pic bigtext keying is also possible this way.
VIDEO KEY SWITCHER BOX
A hardware add-on that can swich two composite (or S-Video) genlocked
feeds according to the state of its keying input. If anybody
(where customers > 100) wants one, see ZVP. Cost approx £60.
